Stoking Your Creative Fire

Join us in exploring mindfulness, presence, and the ancient art of pyrography – the art or technique of decorating wood by burning. Pyrography comes from the Greek words pyr (fire) and graphos (writing) and had many forms from prehistoric times to modern day. It is a traditional folk art form in parts of Europe and South America.

In this workshop you will:

• Engage all your senses in mindfulness, meditation, and creative experimentation.
• Learn and use the basics of modern wood burning to create your own unique and personally meaningful art.
• Experience imaginative flow and the impact of creativity on our neurobiology.
• Become inspired to start your own simple creative practices at home.

The workshop is limited to 8 participants. No previous art or pyrography experience is required.
